Material & Technique:
- The original prototype "Heart in Cage" was handmade in wax by Janet, then cast in sterling silver
- The "Heart in Cage" production pieces have been cast in sterling silver in New York City
- Each "Heart in Cage" piece is hand filed, sanded, and finished by Janet at her NYC studio
- Each ring is individually handcrafted to order by Janet with a sterling silver heavy guage round wire formed into a ring shank
- Each ring is made as an "open" ring, which is soldered by hand straight onto the pendant itself, so that the pendant will sit on the finger
Product Size and Details:
- Size of "Heart in Cage" cast piece: approximately 1cm cubed
- The "heart" inside the cage is set on a prong so that it appears to float inside the cube
- The cube and heart are finished in a glossy finish; the solid back of the cube is textured to emphasize the 3D effect
- The rings are handcrafted to order in whole and half sizes
