Many of the Origami jewelry pieces are from my original line of jewelry when I started my jewelry company in 1997. I grew up in Kanagawa prefecture in Japan, and I made origami all the time as a kid. The Tsuru (crane) was my favorite, and as I grew older, I loved the symbolism (good health + longevity), so naturally, it was my first origami jewelry piece. From there, I started to create all "the hits" that we used to make as children.
